Grande Prairie, AB – July 21, 2025 — Grande Prairie Technical Search & Rescue (GPTSAR) is retiring its 1995 Ford F-350 response vehicle, known as SAR 1, and making it available to the public through an online auction.
The SAR 1 unit has proudly served the Peace Region for over two decades, supporting search and rescue operations in various capacities. Originally configured as a multi-purpose support unit, SAR 1 was used to transport personnel, move equipment such as ATVs and a Zodiac, and assist with logistics during deployments.
This is a unique opportunity to own a piece of local emergency response history while supporting the ongoing efforts of GPTSAR.
